Hank Williams Jr has recorded a scathing attack on President Barack Obama and the current state of the United States of America. New track 'Keep the Change', being offered as a free download on the singer's website, comes just days after Williams' theme song was dropped from Espn's 'Monday Night Football' following the singer's controversial remarks about the President.
During an appearance on Fox News Channel show 'Fox & Friends' on 3rd October 2011, Williams suggested Obama's recent round of golf with Republican House Speaker John Boehner was like "Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu". He also referred to Obama and his Vice President Joe Biden as "the enemy". The singer's anthemic "Are you ready for some football?" theme tune was promptly pulled from Espn's Monday night show after more than 20 years. In 'Keep the Change', Williams hits back at the U.S. media and claims the country is becoming a Socialist state. Lyrics include, "I'll keep my freedom, I'll keep my guns, Try to keep my money and my religion too ... Keep the government out of my business, and y'all can keep the change".
Williams, a long-time Republican supporter, has also begun producing his own range of 'Hank Williams Jr for President' t-shirts, which are available for purchase on his website.
