Hangover Actor Jailed On Sexual Assault Charges
An actor who briefly appeared in the 2009 smash-hit comedy 'The Hangover', has been arrested in Las Vegas after he attempted to persuade a masseuse into having sex with him by pretending to be a police officer, reports E! Online. Douglas Brian Irvin Jr initially responded to an ad for a $180 sensual body scrub, but then offered the woman $10,000 for intercourse.
In a police report obtained by the Las Vegas Sun, a woman identified by her stage name of 'Isabella' accuses Irvin Jr of touching her against her will. Isabella told investigators that she agreed on the condition that he gave her the money upfront, at which point Irvin pulled out a fake police ID card and claimed he was with the vice squad. Irvin proceeded to warn Isabella she would be in "lots of trouble" if she did not provide intercourse for free. The masseuse eventually reported the incident to the real Vegas PD, who tracked down the actor via a parole officer and took him into custody. Irvin, who played an Fbi agent in 'Stargate: The Ark of Truth', was booked into Clark county jail on Thursday on charges of impersonating a police officer, oppression under colour of law, and sexual assault and coercion.
A defence lawyer for the actor could not be reached for comment, but Irvin is due back in court tomorrow (7th June 2011).
