Han Solo Should Have Been Killed Off Says Harrison Ford
In an interview with ABC News, Ford suggested that the Captain of the Millennium Falcon should have died in the last Star Wars movie, 'Return of the Jedi'. When asked about playing the legendary role, Ford said, "As a character he was not so interesting to me. I thought he should have died in the last one, just to give it some bottom". However, the 68-year-old said that director George Lucas rejected the idea, adding, "George didn't think there was any future in dead Han toys".
Ford made the comments during an interview to promote his new movie 'Morning Glory', in which he plays a news anchor on a struggling morning television show. The film also stars Rachel McAdams and Jeff Goldblum, and is directed by Roger Michell. The actor has a number of future projects lined up, including the 2011 adventure movie 'Cowboys and Aliens', and he this week expressed his desire to make another INDIANA JONES film.
