'Halfwayers' Get Bb Boot
David and Shanessa, who originally came in via the 'halfway' house, were given the boot last night after receiving 37 per cent and 38 per cent of the public vote each, leaving Kara-Louise and Tracey safe for another week.
Emerging to a half-hearted selection of Cheers and boos from the eviction audience, Shanessa acknowledged that she had "made a big impact in the week for the wrong reasons".
The 27-year-old single mother could have been referring to either her lapdance shenanigans with Brian or her failure to drink a pint of mayonnaise as part of the shopping task after confidently asserting "I like swallowing".
"They want quiet people in," she said. "They hate people like me".
A more demure David, a practicing white witch, said his eviction was "anticlimactic".
"I never expected to win it because I went in half way through but I expected a couple of weeks because I built up friendships with the guys," the 25-year-old said in his post-eviction interview.
A total of 23 housemates have now featured in this year's Big Brother, with 11 contestants remaining in the hunt for the £100,000 prize money.
