Gyllenhaal And Witherspoon Join Political Thriller

JAKE GYLLENHAAL and Oscar-winner REESE WITHERSPOON have signed up to star in the Middle East political thriller RENDITION. TSOTSI filmmaker GAVIN HOOD will direct the production, which is set to begin shooting in November (06). The story centres on a CIA analyst played by Gyllenhaal, who is based in the Middle East, whose life spins out of control as he questions his assignment after overseeing the secret-police interrogation of a suspected terrorist. Witherspoon will play the pregnant American wife of the national. The film is one of several films set in the Middle East, including two centered on slain journalist DANIEL PEARL - A MIGHTY HEART starring ANGELINA JOLIE and WHO KILLED DANIEL PEARL? starring JOSH LUCAS.
