Gwyneth Paltrow Whips Up Racial Storm On Twitter
It was not obvious to the actress' followers that The-Dream had commandeered the account and she was besieged with criticism. Two days later, she posted a response, saying "Hold up. It's the title of the song!" referring to one of the tracks from Jay Z and Kanye West's collaborative album. The-Dream piped up to apologize, saying "Fyi Sorry for the Confu I typed Ni**as in Paris for real from Gwens phone," he wrote the next day. "My bad I was Fkd up please excuse it! We were lit!" His attempts to explain the offence weren't met with much sympathy, though, with one user replying to him to say "Yep save that white princess."
He told his followers to calm down, though saying "N---a doesn't have any power over me which is why this will be the last thing I say about it," he wrote. "A word means something when u react to it! ... Context is everything. Stop wasting God's time and do something with your life. Love not war."
