Gwyneth Paltrow - Gwyneth Paltrow Hits The Country Trail

GWYNETH PALTROW is about to follow in the footsteps of her husband CHRIS MARTIN, the lead singer of British indie band COLDPLAY. The Hollywood bombshell will release a Country and Western song to accompany her next movie 'Country Strong'. Bosses behind the film have tipped the single for chart success. Paltrow enrolled her husband CHRIS MARTIN to teach her the guitar in readiness for this latest movie role.

In the movie the mother of two plays Kelly Canter a fallen country and western singer who teams up with an up and coming songwriter Beau Williams played by GARRETT HEDLUND and their careers starts to ascend. This all leads to romantic complications involving Kelly's husband/manager played by TIM MCGRAW and a beauty queen played by LEIGHTON MEESTER. The movie will be directed by SHANA FESTE.

Country Strong is set for release in December 2010 and will be distributed by Screen Gems.
