Guillermo Del Toro's Godzilla Plans?
Guillermo Del Toro may film a 'Godzilla' reboot.
The Mexican filmmaker - most famous for his dark 2006 tale 'Pan's Labyrinth' - has been offered the opportunity to direct a new version of the infamous Japanese story about a monster from the deep wreaking havoc on a city.
The new movie is based on a script by 'Clash of the Titans' screenwriter Travis Beacham entitled 'Pacific Rim' which sees the earth threatened by a group of "malevolent creatures", Latino Review reports.
However, Guillermo's work on the upcoming horror 'Mountains of Madness' may prevent him from signing on to the project, which is due for release in 2012.
He is currently set to work on a number of films as executive producer, including 'Kung Fu Panda 2' and 'Puss in Boots', and he also has a writing credit in the currently-troubled 'Hobbit'.
Guillermo is also working on a Brand New version of Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein'.
