Griffiths Slams Acceptance Speeches
Veteran British actor Richard Griffiths is no fan of the awards season because celebrity acceptance speeches make him cringe.
THE HISTORY BOYS star is amazed at how banal Hollywood's leading lights become when they take to the stage to collect their gongs, and insists they should take the time to prepare an entertaining speech.
He says, "I'm sick and tired of people just saying thank you all the time - how dreary!
"If you're in the zone, you should have prepared something or find someone to say something for you."
