Pam Grier - Grier Taught Pryor To Read

Seventies movie sex symbol PAM GRIER has revealed one of late comic RICHARD PRYOR's secrets in her new tell-all book - the comedian couldn't read.
The movie star claims she taught Pryor to read, while she was dating him - because it was his dream to thumb through Leo Tolstoy's epic War & Peace.
Grier says, "He would learn his lines phonetically and people would help him learn his lines, but he'd say, 'Baby, I wanna learn how to read, and I wanna read War & Peace'."
