Green Day Have No Idea Of Their Future

Green Day ''don't have a f**king clue'' what the future holds.

The group are preparing to release three albums, '¡Uno!', '¡Dos!' and '¡Tre!' and they think the move could either be the ''greatest'' or ''dumbest'' thing they have ever done.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said: ''This could possibly be the greatest idea we've ever had or it could possibly be the dumbest idea we've ever had. And that's really exciting to think about.

''We don't have a f**king clue what we're doing as far as the future is concerned. And it's kind of exciting to think of it that way.''

The 'Basket Case' band admit it is now impossible to make their career follow a ''normal'' trajectory because of their decision to release an album trilogy.

Drummer Tre Cool told NME magazine: ''Normality is not a possibility at this point because we have three records, so, immediately, all the old rules go out of the door - we just make new ones up as we go.''

However, the group - whose last album, '21st Century Breakdown' come out in 2009 - think they are going to have a good time promoting the albums.

Billie Joe said: ''I think it's gonna be a fun ride and the point of us making these records was just to have more fun. Things got a little stressful towards the end of '21st Century Breakdown' and we were feeling the pressure.

''It was time to switch gears to a new territory. And when we did, it ended up being three records. We didn't know it was gonna be like that. The philosophy is to expect the unexpected.''
