Grammys Red Carpets Update 'Nicki Minaj Brings The Pope'

Taking a leaf out of Lady GaGa's book, Nicki Minaj arrived at the Grammy Awards tonight with the Pope in tow. Or, at least, someone dressed up as the Pope. Minaj herself was wearing a striking red cape, with a hood structured over her head. The 'Stupid Hoe' rapper is scheduled to perform at tonight's show, along with Adele, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Rihanna. Lady Gaga herself is also nominated for a Grammy, for her album Born This Way.

Other stars to stand out on the red carpet include Adele, whose performance tonight is one of the most hotly anticipated of the show, second perhaps now to the planned Whitney Houston tribute. Adele wore a heavily sequinned, classic black gown and had her hair swept up in her recognisable back-combed 1960s style. Amber Rose was accompanying her Grammy-nominated partner Wiz Khalifa, wearing black and yellow, in dedication to her partner's song of the same name. She wore a stunning yellow Versace dress with striking red lipstick.

Katy Perry's outfit was also an eye-catching one. She wore a floor-length, vintage style pastel blue gown. The dress had a subtle bow around the middle and was adorned heavily with sequins. She topped off her look with a bright blue bouffant and long earrings. The Swedish pop-star Robyn also looked dashing, in white, with her hair worn in a built-up style.
