Director Nick Cassavetes has dropped out of 'Gotti: Three Generations'.
The 'Notebook' director has reportedly had to end his involvement in the movie - documenting the life of infamous New York mobster John Gotti - due to conflicting commitments.
According to Variety, Nick been released from his contract with Fire Films after learning the shooting schedule would clash with that of new indie drama 'Yellow', which he is also sitting in the director's chair for.
John Travolta, Joe Pesci and John's 10-year-old daughter Ella Bleu have already signed up to play key roles in the film, while troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is also in talks to portray Victoria Gotti, the daughter of the infamous mobster.
Meanwhile, Gotti's son, John Gotti Jr. is assisting movie executives with the development of The Script, and various members of the extended Gotti family will also be present on set.
Mark Fiore, the executive producer of the film, recently explained: "We have a real inside look. John Jr. will answer any question you ask him. The Gotti family, they don't try to put a sweater over things."
