The bass player of Italian heavy metal rock bands GORY BLISTER and ALLHELLUJA is recovering from surgery after breaking his femur in a motorcycle accident.
Rocker Roby Gelly was driving through Milan on his way home on Monday (28Sep09) when he smashed into another vehicle.
Gelly was taken to the city's San Raffaele hospital for urgent treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.
A statement from Gory Blister reads: "Everything seems to be gone for the better (sic) after surgery, but it will take about two months to return to 100 per cent. Due (to) some shows already scheduled (sic), Gory Blister will try to replace him temporarily; otherwise the band will perform anyway and unfortunately without a bassist. The band wish (him) all the best for a quick (recovery)."
