Gordon Ramsay - Gordon Ramsay Hired To Help Restaurant Drama

British chef Gordon Ramsay has been hired to help contribute his knowledge of the restaurant industry to a new U.S. Tv drama set in an upmarket New York eaterie.

The short-tempered star, famed for his hit reality shows including Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, will help out on a new series called The Inferno, which tells the story of two businessmen who hire a fiery Italian chef to turn their restaurant around.

The character of the chef is not said to be based on Ramsay, but he will contribute anecdotes from his time in the restaurant business, according to industry website Deadline.com.

Ramsay's One Potato, Two Potato production company will be involved in the project, which will be directed by Smash helmer Michael Mayer.
