Good Morning America Now Well Ahead Of Today
With the winners of ABC's Dancing with the Stars featured as guests on ABC's Good Morning America on Wednesday, the morning show beat NBC's Today show by the widest margin since May 18, 1994 -- 1.6 million viewers. It also ranked as the No. 1 show last week -- the 39th week in a row that GMA has led as the most-watched morning show. During the crucial May sweeps, GMA's ratings were up about 2 percent in the morning show's key 25-54 age group over May of 2013 and 9 percent in total viewers. But CBS This Morning showed even greater improvement. It is up 8 percent among younger viewers and 19 percent among total viewers. As for Today, it's down 9 percent in the 25-54 demo and down 14 percent among viewers. Last week's averages: ABC's Good Morning America: 5.59 million; NBC's Today: 4.71 million; CBS This Morning: 2.86 million.
