Good Luck In Court: Chris Brown Receives Support Tweet From Victim, Rihanna
Chris Brown received a message of support from Rihanna yesterday when he found himself in court again. Brown had been summoned to court for failing a drugs test back in June and it’s worth remembering, at this juncture that the reason Brown was on probation and thus being drug tested, was for his 2009 assault on Rihanna. It’s probably not a usual case for the victim to be wishing her assailant ‘good luck’ in court but Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship seems to be on the mend, despite the incident three years ago. Brown tested positive for marijuana on June 18, 2012.
Rihanna has not been shy about letting people know that she still cares for the R&B singer. She recently appeared on a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, when she explained that she still cared for Brown. And she posted her good luck message on the Rihanna Twitter page, so that everyone could see. Yesterday, she posted a message that read “Praying for you baby, my best wishes are with you today! Remember that whatever God does in our lives, it is WELL DONE!!! #1Love” that is thought to have been a message to her former boyfriend. And what’s more, Chris responded to a message she had sent directly to him, which said ““@rihanna: @chrisbrown I'm praying for you and wishing u the best today!” : thank u so much.”
It seems as though Rihanna’s good luck wishes worked, as Chris remarkably managed to get away scot free with his narcotic misadventures. Luckily for Brown, Judge Patricia Schnegg said that she never actually ordered for Brown to take drug tests as part of his probation, so she let him off this time, though he was given a “stern reminder” to obey all laws.
