Glen Campbell Eyes Retirement

Legendary country star Glen Campbell is finally hanging up his guitar - he plans to retire after releasing a swansong album this year (11).

The veteran Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, 75, has been working in the music industry since the early 1950s and has enjoyed a varied career.

He was a member of Phil Spector's infamous band of studio musicians, The Wrecking Crew, and stood in for reclusive Brian Wilson in The Beach Boys in the 1960s before going on to enjoy a successful solo career.

The Rhinestone Cowboy hitmaker has recorded more than 50 albums - but his upcoming release, Ghost On A Canvas, is likely to be his last.

Campbell tells Mojo magazine, "Most people are retired at 60. And I'm slowing down. I've slowed down, I'll put it that way."

Well Glen may slow down just a tad, but I can' "really" picture him hanging up his guitar, especially if it's that pretty "Blueburst 91' Strat Plus" w/ the maple neck I saw him in concert with. Good Luck Glen !, Well Glen may slow down just a tad, but I can' "really" picture him hanging up his guitar, especially if it's that pretty "Blueburst 91' Strat Plus" w/ the maple neck I saw him in concert with.
