Glee Gq Shoot 'Does Not Represent Who I Am' Says Dianna Agron
Agron posted her thoughts on her personal blog after the Parents Television Council said the photo-shoot 'borders on paedophilia', she said, "Nobody is perfect, and these photos do not represent who I am", before adding, "For GQ, they asked us to play very heightened versions of our school characters. A 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' version. At the time, it wasn't my favourite idea, but I did not walk away"
The racy photos leaked online on Tuesday 21st October 2010, which led to an outpouring of indignation from certain outlets. Tim Winter, President of the Parents Television Council, said in a statement: "It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way". Despite their portrayals of high school students, Agron and Michele are 24-years old, while Monteith is 28.
