Glastonbury Lineup Unveiled

by | 01 June 2007

Arctic Monkeys, the Killers and the Who have all been confirmed as the headline acts at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Festival organisers have revealed the lineup for the summer's premier festival, with Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Weller, Shirley Bassey and Mika also on the list for the June 22nd-June 24th event.

Sheffield act Arctic Monkeys will headline the main Pyramid Stage on the Friday, with Iceland's Bjork topping the bill on the Other Stage at the same time.

On Saturday, the Killers head the Pyramid lineup, with Paul Weller and the Kooks warming up the Somerset crowd beforehand. The Stooges will be bringing the night to an end on the Other Stage.

And to finish the weekend at Worthy Farm off, veteran rockers the Who bring the curtain down on the main stage after Dame Shirley, Manic Street Preachers and Kaiser Chiefs respectively.

Meanwhile on the Other Stage, The Chemical Brothers end the night after performances by chart-topping Mika, The View and The Go! Team.

Glastonbury sold out within hours when tickets went on sale in April, despite the fact that the capacity was boosted to 177,000 after the organisers put on special coaches for many festival-goers.

A few returned tickets will be put on sale online on Sunday from 09:00 BST.
