Gibsons Sell Artwork At A Loss
MEL GIBSON and his ex-wife ROBYN have been forced to sell a famous painting at a loss after agreeing to auction off MAXFIELD PARRISH's DAYBREAK.
The couple bought the famous 1922 art piece for $7.6 million (£4.75 million) - the record for a Parrish - in 2006. It sold at a Christie's auction in New York on Thursday (20May10) for $5.2 million (£3.25 million).
The buyer was not identified.
