Gibson Returns To Malibu For Church Service

The actor has been living at his retreat in Costa Rica ever since news of the divorce went public at the beginning of last week (beg13Apr09), but he flew back to Malibu to attend Mass at the Church of the Holy Family over the weekend.

Dressed smartly in a suit, a tanned and relaxed-looking Gibson drank coffee with church guests following the service.

Gibson has been entertaining a mystery blonde at his home in Costa Rica this week, but it appears he flew back to Malibu alone.

The actor's estranged wife Robyn cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce documents, which were filed on Monday (13Apr09). Gibson's legal response, filed on the same day, revealed the couple had split in 2006, a month after his much-publicised drink driving arrest.
