Gibson: 'Drink-driving Incident Was A Gift'
MEL GIBSON has branded his July (06) drink-driving arrest, in which he made anti-Semitic remarks to a police officer, "A gift."
The actor/director believes his controversial outburst against a Los Angeles cop was a blessing in disguise, as it has helped him regain focus in his life.
Gibson also hopes to help others learn from the incident, and plans to "touch lives".
He says, "I got a skinful and mouthed off, which is not coming from a good place, but I'm moving on from that.
"(It was) a gift because it's made me really scratch my head and focus on a couple of things that I needed to.
"It's working out real positive, and hopefully that's reflecting in the lives that I'll touch."
