Gibb Celebrated At Australian Festival
Actress Olivia Newton-John presented the singer with a plaque at the glitzy gala, which is part of the annual Australia Week celebrations in the U.S.
Gibb's family, including brothers Robin and Maurice, emigrated to Queensland from England in 1958 and became stars Down Under before conquering the rest of the world. The Bee Gees remain one of the country's best-selling acts.
Australian actress Abbie Cornish and tennis legend Roy Emerson were also feted at the event.
Previous honourees at G'Day USA include Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Naomi Watts, Kylie Minogue and Russell Crowe.
