George Michael Vows To Make Up For Missed Show

George Michael is "overwhelmed" with Guilt about having to cancel his concert last night (26.10.11).

The 'Faith' singer pulled out of his second Symphonica: The Orchestral Tour show at London's Royal Albert Hall because of back problems, a viral infection and high temperature, but has today (27.10.11) vowed to make things up to his fans.

In a series of tweets he wrote: "London, I am truly sorry about last night, but I had performed on Tuesday with my back in spasm and a splitting headache.... (sic)

"Without a doubt the most difficult show of my life, but London you were wonderful to me

"And I don't want to spoil the presses fun but I threw my back out rather than throwing too many burgers in my mouth :) (sic)

"Have No Doubt, I will reschedule last nights show, please keep those tickets (sic).

"I've worked through colds before on tour because it's such a horrific thought that people turn up and are turned away.

"The guilt is overwhelming, but this time I had absolutely no choice. Was feverish yesterday but feeling better today (sic).

The singer issued a statement last night about having to cancel the show - his second, after the opening night on Tuesday (25.10.11) - which sees him perform hits from across his career backed by a 41-piece orchestra.

His spokesperson said: "George is disappointed that he cannot perform tonight's concert, but he has been advised to rest. He received a tremendous reaction from the audience last night and is very sorry that he has had to postpone."

The 48-year-old musician is due to perform again at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday (28.10.11) and Saturday (29.10.11).

He added: "I'm sure I'll be fine for tomorrow and Saturday. And hopefully a bit funnier :) it's not easy to ad lib when you feel like death :)) (sic)."

The cancelled concert will be rescheduled and all original tickets will remain valid.
