George Michael - George Michael To Be Questioned By News Of The World Investigators
Pop superstar George Michael has been asked to help authorities investigating the News of the World's phone-hacking scandal after attacking the newspaper's former editor in a series of Twitter.com postings last week (ends08Jul11).
The Faith singer has revealed via Twitter.com that officials have requested to interview him about his comments regarding Rebekah Brooks.
He celebrated the closure of the weekly newspaper with a number of posts last week (ends08Jul11), and told followers he once confronted Brooks after she had mysteriously entered his home to tell him that police tipped reporters off about his activities.
Michael now insists he was among the celebrities targeted by News of the World staff, who allegedly tapped his phones in a desperate attempt to land scoops about him.
The newspaper's reporters and editors have been accused of eavesdropping on the phone messages of murder victims, politicians and celebrities.
In a series of new tweets, Michael salutes staff at the News of the World's rival, The Guardian, for revealing all about the scandal and bringing about the tabloid's demise, and he also attacks a private investigator called Jonathan Rees, who he maintains is a key figure in the controversy.
