George Lucas To Re-shoot Tails

George Lucas is to reshoot parts of World War II drama 'Red Tails'.

The 'Star Wars' director is reported to be unhappy with the original work undertaken by Anthony Hemingway and is planning to oversee the filming of new scenes.

The movie - which is now supposed to be in post-production - tells the fictional story of America's first all black air fighting unit in the war and features Daniela Ruah, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard.

Lucas, who is an executive producer on the film, is reworking scenes as well as shooting new ones, according to website First Showing.

As yet, no date has been confirmed for the re-shooting but with a scheduled 2010 release, would have to happen soon to meet the deadline.

Lucas' producing partner Rick McCallum - who worked with Lucas on recent 'Star Wars' outings - is said to be looking at footage to work out what exactly needs to be re-shot.

Lucas is currently working on a fifth 'Indiana Jones' movie as well being an executive producer on TV animation 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'.
