George Clooney - George Clooney To Present At Screen Actors Guild Awards

Clooney will be on hand as will old pal and Oscars Best Actor rival Brad Pitt and Kathy Bates for the ceremony to be held this Sunday, January 29th for what will be the 18th edition of the event. The three of them are also up for awards on the same night, with Clooney and Pitt doing battle again in the 'Best Actor' category. Other newly announced presenters include Owen Wilson, Melissa McCarthy - another recent Oscar nominee - Zoe Saldana, Kristen Wiig and Sir Ben Kingsley, reports People magazine.

They join a list of already confirmed presenters including Michelle Williams, Tina Fey, Natalie Portman, John Krasinski, Julianna Margulies, Maya Rudolph, Krya Sedgwick, Kevin Bacon, Octavia Spencer, Meryl Streep and Dick Van Dyke. Though the awards are a relatively new addition to the Guild, the organisation itself has been going since 1933 and has grown to now amass over 200,000 performers worldwide.
