George Clooney And Elisabetta Canalis Announce Split
The couple announced the end of their two year romance in a joint statement, saying, "We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy". Speculation of unrest in the relationship began circulating in 2010, but Canalis played down the rumours, telling Italian Vanity Fair, "I am happy like I was when I was 18 years old. Those who criticize or invent stories about us are jealous". Canalis, an Italian actress who appeared in 'Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo', recently spoke of her plans to marry, telling 'Chi' magazine, "I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am. I am very happy at the moment - thanks to my man and my fairytale is continuing. We are a couple that never gets bored".
George Clooney was married to Talia Balsam from 1989 until their divorce in 1993. After meeting on the set of a Martini advertisement in 2000, he began a five year romance with the British model LISA SNOWDON.
