General Hospital Gets Dose Of Good Medicine 26 Emmy Nods

In what was probably the first really good news that the producers, cast and crew of ABC's General Hospital have had in months, it was announced today (Wednesday) that the long-running soap had received 26 nominations for Daytime Emmys, by far the most for any daytime program. Tied for second place, with 16 nominations each, were another soap opera, The Young and the Restless , and PBS's Sesame Street. ABC received the most total nominations, 56, followed by PBS with 51 and syndicated programs with 40. CBS received 33 and NBC 24.
