Bob Geldof's lunch date in London on Tuesday (01Feb11) turned into an expensive one after his car was clamped by parking officials.
The former Boomtown Rats star was dining at a posh restaurant in the British capital's Chelsea district after parking his Lexus on the nearby King's Road.
Following his meal, Geldof discovered the vehicle had been clamped by Kensington and Chelsea council officials, who noticed the star had failed to display a ticket on his windscreen.
The musician then called a taxi to take him home. Geldof will have to pay a $105 (£70) release fee, as well as a penalty charge, according to the Daily Mail.
