Actor Gavin Creel has thanked a fan for returning his iPad after accidentally handing the Apple tablet to the man while signing an autograph on Tuesday (03Apr12).
The Broadway star launched an appeal on Twitter.com to get his gadget back after the mix-up, and his friend Alan Cumming even publicised his pal's plight on his own page.
Creel announced to his followers on Wednesday evening (04Apr12) that his iPad had been successfully returned to him.
In a series of posts on his page, he writes, "a) I love Alan Cumming b) I so appreciate everyone's support during my iPad debacle c) I'm going to tweet another tweet in 39 seconds... My iPad hath been returned!!!!!! 2 (sic) the sweet man who made my day asking 4 (sic) an autograph & made my year by returning my iPad after babysitting it 4 a couple (of) days: thank you!!!"
Cumming replied, "Mission accomplished tweeters! Stand down. Creel, go forth and use that iPad."
