Gary Sinise Back With Lt. Dan Band For Charity Show
The 57 year old is currently recovering under doctors' supervision following the accident in March (12) but is scheduled to return to the stage in Brooklyn, New York on 27 April (12).
The benefit concert is a joint effort between the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and proceeds will go towards building customised homes for injured army heroes.
Sinise gained an insight into life as a disabled soldier when he played double-amputee Vietnam War veteran Lieutenant Dan Taylor in hit movie Forrest Gump.
The band has a history of playing at charitable benefits in a bid to raise funds for injured fighters and their families, and has already raised enough money to build a home for quad-amputee Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco.
