British singer Gary Barlow fell victim to internet pranksters on Wednesday (04Apr12) after his Twitter.com page was hacked.
Fans were shocked to see a post, which appeared to reference the recent leak of X-rated footage featuring Barlow's The X Factor co-star Tulisa Contostavlos, on the Take That singer's page.
The tweet read, "Tulisa tape extended!" and was accompanied by a link - but users clicking on it were warned it was an unsafe site and could infect computers with malicious software.
The cyber-crooks then used Barlow's account to send messages to stars including Virgin tycoon Richard Branson, singer Olly Murs, and British TV presenter Andi Peters urging them to check out a "new video clip of me" - which took users to a 'phishing' page where hackers can access their targets' login details.
