Gary Barlow 'Still Celebrating' Jubilee
Gary Barlow is ''still celebrating'' Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee.
The Take That singer organised a star-studded concert to mark the occasion in June and says watching the event come to life after 19 months of planning was incredible.
Asked about the highlight of his year, Gary told GQ magazine: ''It's got to be the jubilee. Really it has. So many of the artists were coming in and saying, 'This is brilliant! I can't believe it!'
''You look down and there's Prince Charles. The crowd was all down The Mall - as far as you could see, people's heads.
''Now I just sit and think, 'That's probably as good as its gonna get.' I'm still celebrating.''
The star-studded evening to celebrate the queen's 60th year on The Throne featured performances from Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Dame Shirley Bassey, and Gary also toured the commonwealth to record a special track, 'Sing'.
The 41-year-old star branded the occasion as ''surreal'', but also admitted that he hardly got to watch any of the live performances because he was so busy.
Speaking about the OBE he recently received from the queen, Gary said: ''I never want to get to the point where I think, 'I've done it all now and I've been awarded - I'm done, good night.''
