Gary Barlow Apologises to Tulisa for Rude 'Fagash' Comment on the X-Factor
It's always difficult to discern with shows such as the X-Factor whether the banter between the judges is exactly that- just banter in the attempt of making the show even more entertaining for viewers- or whether the beef runs deeper. Last night's bickering reached new heights as Gary stuck the knife in to Tulisa deeply, responding to her comments to Christopher Maloney, he said "I don't know what's offended me more. What you've said or your fag ash breath."
Despite being understandably offended, Tulisa later bit back, interrupting the show's host Dermot O'Leary, saying "Just a note for Gary - lay off the red wine because I can really smell that as well." On the Xtra Factor, after the main show, Gary showed remorse by apologisising and inviting Tulisa to insult him as much as she likes, in the future. "Can I apologise to Tulisa - I mean it." He said, "You have the freedom to be as personal as you like to me for the rest of the series - insult me." Later she said that they're still "good", reports Sky News.
Controversially this week, contestant Lucy Spraggan has been given a free pass due to illness, meaning that she can't perform. Plenty of viewers have spoken out against the decision, nevertheless, in tonight's show someone else will be sent home. If Tulisa's comments about Christopher Maloney 'murdering 80s classics' is anything to go by, it may be him leaving the show.
