Spice Girls - Gary Barlow And The Spice Girls On Hand To Make The Olympic Closing Ceremony A Night To Remember

The Symphony of British Music, the official title of the Olympic Closing Ceremony, is set to end the London Olympics with a massive bang, with artists such as the Spice Girls and Gary Barlow on hand to make sure it is a night to remember.
Although still grieving from the loss of his daughter Poppy, who was stillborn, Barlow has said that he is determined to perform at the closing ceremony alongside his Take That bandmates Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.
Meanwhile, fellow 90's pop sensations THE Spice Girls are set to reform for a one time only gig at the ceremony, which is said to work out as one long performance from a number of artists rather than just working as a standard concert.
George Michael, The Pet Shop Boys and Jessie J are also set to be on display for the ceremony; whilst stills of rockers Muse performing with a backing of golden drummers has also emerged online.
The spectacle will have some way to go if it is to top the spectacular opening display put on by Danny Boyle, but Artistic Director Kim Gavin is determined to make sure the close is as spectacular as the opening.
The final ceremony will see more than 4,100 performers, including 3,500 adult volunteers and 380 school children from the six east London host boroughs, getting involved with the action happening.
The Closing Ceremony will begin at 4pm on Sunday 12th August and go on long into the night, before the official handing over of the flags to the mayor of Rio De Janeiro, the next host city.
