Shirley Manson - Garbage 'Got Left Behind' After Failing To Embrace Social Networking
Rocker Shirley Manson is convinced Garbage's popularity waned in the late-2000s because they failed to embrace social networking websites.
The Stupid Girl hitmakers, fronted by Shirley Manson, are preparing to make their chart comeback with new album Not Your Kind of People, the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's Bleed Like Me.
Manson has now revealed she feels the band "got left behind" as technology advanced after their last record release.
She tells Britain's The Sun, "We lost our way. We couldn't connect with an audience and there was so much technological development at that time we got left behind. We were internet-savvy but didn't grasp social networking."
