The Game - Game's R.e.d. Album Debuts At Number 1 On Billboard
The Game's forth studio album The R.E.D. Album has debuted at number 1 in the billboard charts.
According to media website Nielsen SoundScan the Los Angeles rapper has sold 98,000 copies of his latest album, making it his third chart topping album after the 2005 album The Documentary and 2007s LAX. He has also written a book to accompany the release of his new album which includes anecdotes about working alongside Rick Ross and producer Pharrell Williams. Commenting about the book, he said "with my book The Making Of Game's The R.E.D. Album, I wanted to give my fans a behind-the-scenes look of how my new album came to be these are my stories in my own words."However, it is expected that fellow rapper Lil Wayne will knock him off the top spot next week when he releases Tha Carter IV and is predicted to sell around 900,000. Last weeks number 1 album was Watch the Throne, a collaboration album between JAY-Z and Kanye West.
Game, real name Jayceon Taylor rose to fame as a member of 50 Cent's entourage G-UNIT before releasing his debut album in 2005. Born in Compton, California the hip-hop artist has gone on to release four albums in total. He has also starred in several movies, most notably with Keanu Reeves in the 2008 movie Street Kings.
