Medieval fantasy series Game Of Thrones triumphed at the 2012 Television Critics Association Awards on Saturday night (28Jul12) by landing the coveted Programme of the Year prize.
The drama joined Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey among the big winners in Los Angeles, while blonde beauty Claire Danes and funnyman Louis C.K. picked up the top acting trophies.
Meanwhile, U.S. TV host David Letterman was honoured with the Career Achievement Award and the Tca also paid homage to Cheers by presenting the beloved series with the Heritage Award.
