Game of Thrones season 3 is on it’s way, and if the dark television adverts aren’t enough to convince you, then the new trailer will have to do. And it’s good; oh it’s good. If you thought seasons 1 and 2 were big, then it’s about to get bigger.

We’ve only got around a month to go before the season three premiere, so HBO have really made us wait for this trailer. But now it’s here, we can’t wait to see some epic sword sinking action. This new season will see 14 – that’s right – 14 new cast members for the show.

They are (deep breath) Clive Russell (Bryndon “The Blackfish” Tully); Nathalie Emannuel (Missandei); Kerry Ingram (Shireen Bratheon); Paul Kaye (Thoros of Myr); Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed); Ellie Kendirck (Meera Reed); Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion); Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane); Philip McGinley (Anguy); Tara Fitzgerald (Selyse Baratheon); Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully) and Anton Lesser (Qyburn). Here they are introducing themselves, in case you’re not much of a reader…

And if you simply can’t get enough of GOT, and you’ve got Facebook, than your appetite needn’t wane; Game Of Thrones Ascent will let you explore the fantasy world of Westeros from your computer. “We are huge Game of Thrones fans ourselves and all along have recognized the die-hard fan base that this property attracts,” explained Jon Radoff, CEO and founder of Disruptor Beam – who developed the game. “From the very start of concepting the game through all stages of development, it has been of utmost importance to deliver an experience that is authentic to the world and stories that George R.R. Martin created, while also creating a gameplay experience that we feel would appeal to such a devoted fan base.” (via Forbes).
