Noel Gallagher - Gallagher Regrets Hasty Decision To Quit Oasis
Noel Gallagher regrets his "hasty decision" to quit Oasis - because now he can't stage a 20-year anniversary celebration in 2015.
The British rocker walked out on the band in 2009 after a bust-up with his brother Liam moments before a gig in Paris, France.
The siblings have been feuding publicly ever since.
Liam and his bandmates have gone on to form Beady Eye, while Noel has launched a solo career.
And, with little chance of the Gallaghers putting their differences behind them in the foreseeable future, the idea of a reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their landmark debut album (What's The Story) Morning Glory seems far fetched.
Noel now admits he should have struggled through the remainder of the tour before taking a break, rather than walking out on his brother and his bandmates - because he had high hopes for a final run of gigs in 2015.
He tells Britain's Absolute Radio, "It was a hasty decision, I've got to say, and we could maybe have all gone off and done other things for a few years.
"In my own head the 2015, 20-year anniversary of (What's The Story) Morning Glory is looming and we could have maybe come back, made a new album and played that album in its entirety and gone - and been the greatest thing ever. But there you go."
