Liam Gallagher - Gallagher Formed New Band Hours After Oasis Split
LIAM GALLAGHER formed his new band BEADY EYE just hours after his brother NOEL walked out on OASIS.
The singer had a furious bust-up with his guitarist brother backstage at a gig in Paris, France in August last year (09), sparking the end of the Wonderwall hitmakers.
But within hours of the argument, Gallagher and his Oasis bandmates Gem Archer and Andy Bell gathered in a hotel room in the French capital and began mapping out their future with a new group.
Gallagher tells NME, "Oasis was so f**king set in stone, man. I was gutted at the time when we split up, but that's life, innit? S**t happens, you move on... It was that night (we discussed a new band). We all went back to the hotel, got on the p**s (got drunk) and it was like, 'Alright, let's f**king do this.' I might have apologised to the lads, I might not have, I can't remember...
"We just got on with it. We just went, 'We have to f**king carry on, man.' Because we knew, right away, that was definitely it, you know? We knew there would be no making up, not after that. We knew it was done."
