Gallagher Attacker Pleads Guilty
The man accused of injuring NOEL GALLAGHER at an OASIS concert in Canada last year (08) has pleaded guilty to an assault charge.
Gallagher suffered three broken ribs after Daniel Sullivan tackled him onstage at Toronto's V Festival in September (08).
The attacker admitted assault causing bodily harm during a hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday (20Nov09), reports the Toronto Sun.
Reading an agreed statement of facts to the court, attorney Ruth Neilson stated, "Sullivan managed to make his way up to the main stage area, run past the electrical chords set up along the stage, pass the drum kit and lunge toward Noel Gallagher, shoving him violently from behind with great force."
Neilson detailed how Sullivan also tried to take down frontman Liam Gallagher, but security foiled his attempts and hauled him offstage, where he was arrested.
The court heard that Sullivan could not recall how he stormed the stage as he was intoxicated at the time.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place on 5 February (10).
The rockers were subsequently forced to cancel a string of dates on their North American tour, but they disbanded in August (09) after Noel quit the group.
