Liam Gallagher - Gallagher Accuses Brother Of Wrecking Oasis
Rocker LIAM GALLAGHER has taken aim at his brother NOEL - he's accused the guitarist of wrecking OASIS by growing too old for rock 'n' roll, hogging songwriting duties, and ruining the band's "vibe".
The British group split in 2009 after a furious bust-up between the Gallagher brothers backstage at a gig in Paris, France following a series of bitter arguments between the pair.
Singer Liam blames his sibling for the break-up and is adamant the split had been brewing for months because the dressing room atmosphere was "like someone had been shot" whenever Noel was there.
He's also accused the guitarist of "taking charge" in the studio, writing "songs for 50 year olds", and having no energy during concerts.
Liam tells rock magazine Mojo, "After some gigs there was no vibe, in the dressing room and that, it was like, 'F**king hell, here we go again, f**king nobody speaking'. I mean, when me and the lads were together we'd have a great time but then when the other one came in... f**king hell, it was like someone had been shot.
"And that ain't fun... (In the studio) we had the little fella who was taking charge, doing his thing and I think he sort of hogged it a bit... But it had obviously got stuck in a rut, or it was moving that kind of way, and people don't like change... I guess I've got a bit more energy than our kid (Noel). He's grown up. The guy's writing songs for 50 year olds."
