Gaga Plans Tattoo Tribute To Recovering Dad

LADY GAGA is set to celebrate her father's successful open-heart surgery by getting a tattoo tribute to him.
The Paparazzi hitmaker took the last two weeks off to nurse and care for her father Joseph as he had a valve replaced in his heart, and she's relieved last Thursday's (22Oct09) operation went well.
She says, "I'm gonna get a tattoo for him this week; I'm gonna get a heart that says 'Dad' in it."
The new skin art will be GaGa's ninth tattoo.
She adds, "I told him (father) I was gonna get it and he got all teary-eyed and he said, 'Well, you're running out of real estate, so don't get it too big.'"

Lady Gaga, R. Kelly, Terry Richardson and the ‘Do What You Want’ Video We Wish We Hadn’t Seen 4252036 News

Remember that Lady Gaga and R.Kelly video which was supposed to be released last year but never materialised? Well this week we all got a pretty good idea about why the video for ‘Do What U Want’ never saw the light of day when TMZ leaked clips from the previously unseen video. Prepare to be made to feel very uncomfortable by Gaga, R. Kelly and photographer Terry Richardson in a video which really should have never existed.

Lady GagaGaga's 'Do What U Want' video was pulled earlier this year

When the video was originally scrapped earlier this year, Gaga blamed “time constraints” and a fallout with her then management team. But the real reason for the video never airing might have had a lot more to do with its disturbing nature and Gaga’s controversial co-stars. In an article published earlier this week on Page Six, the website reported that the video was pulled due to allegations made against Gaga’s collaborators, with source describing the video as being “directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body’? It was literally an ad for rape.”

More: Nobody Knows What To Make Of R Kelly's 'Black Panties,' Even The Critics

The aforementioned director was photographer Terry Richardson, a man whose name seems to come up every time a female celebrity decides to do a suggestive photo shoot. Last year he was the man who photographed Miley Cyrus in a series of questionable poses, previously he’s photographed Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan. But recently Richardson has faced accusations by a string of models who have described him as a “sexual predator” and accused him of sexually harassing young girls. The allegations, which Richardson has since denied, were coming in thick and fast around the same time that the ‘Do What U Want’ video was intended for release.

Then there’s Gaga’s co-star R.Kelly, who has a long and lengthily history of allegations against him involving young girls. In December last year the Village Voice published an article detailing the accusations against Kelly during his career, all of which makes for some very uncomfortable reading.

More: Lady Gaga Brushes Off Video Criticism

But back to the video itself. In the clip we see Gaga laid out on a hospital bed with Kelly, dressed as a doctor standing over her. Gaga is later seemingly rendered unconscious with Kelly able to do what he wants to her body as the song suggests. There’s also images of Gaga rolling around naked and stimulating sex, while be photographed by Richardson.

R.KellyContraversy has followed R.Kelly throughout his career

While the accusations made towards Kelly and Richardson have never been proven, there’s enough information out there about the pair to make you question wether or not collaborating with them on a song entitled ‘Do What U Want’ is a particularly good idea. Indeed even from watching the brief clip of the video, its clear that the entire set up is a bad idea even if it wasn't Kelly and Richardson who were involved.

Gaga might be an artist celebrated for pushing boundaries, but ‘Do What U May’ may just be a step too far for the controversial popstar. After watching the 30 second clip, we’re left wishing this video had stayed lost forever and if she has any sense of good judgement left, Gaga will hopefully feel the same.

Who Are Babymetal? Lady Gaga’s ArtRave Support Band 4251514 News

Babymetal is a group which could only have hailed from Japan, could only have found success thanks to Youtube and could only have been chosen by Lady Gaga as a support act on her 'ArtRave' tour. Three teenaged girls in matching outfits singing and dancing onstage to ‘heavy metal’ music, Babymetal needs to be seen and heard to be believed. Yet after seeing it we’re still not sure if we didn't just imagine the whole thing.

BabymetalMeet Babymetal, the Japanese viral sensations

The origins of Babymetal are found in girl group Sakura Gakuin, a pop act manufacture by a Japanese talent agency, which employs an ever changing line-up. Basically when a member gets too old (ie around 16) they get kicked out (or graduate) from the group. One day the group’s manager had an idea for an interesting musical experiment. “Why don’t we try and fuse metal music with cutesy pop,” we assume he said, and thus Babymetal was created using Sakura Gakuin members Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno.

With their new identities as Su-metal, Moametal and Yuimetal the trio, who had never heard heavy metal music before, began recording music in 2011. Thanks to the unique concept didn't take long before the girls (who’s current average age is just 15), started attracting online attention thanks to their Youtube videos.

In their videos, the girls usually dress in matching cute gothic Lolita style outfits, i.e. lots of pretty high neck black blouses and tutu skirts. Behind them are a band of masked men who occasionally, but less enthusiastically, join in with the dance routines which include lots of jumping around and hand movements. It’s the kind of bizarre juxtaposition of music and images that the age of Youtube was made for. Once you see it, wether you liked it or not, you feel compelled to tell someone else to go watch it and before you know it, you’ve played a part in getting the video to over 6million Youtube views.

The girl’s debut album, Babymetal, released in February of this year, quickly rose in the Japanese, UK and US album charts. It was also well received by critics who found it to be a fun, energetic listen which represented a very 21st century brand of genre bending music. No this is not metal, but it’s also not pop or dance either, we guess it's just Babymetal.

Lady GagaLady Gaga has selected Babymetal to join her 'Artrave' tour

Babymetal will be supporting Lady Gaga on five dates of her summer ArtRave: the Artpop Ball tour, hitting Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Denver. If you like Slipknot, Shrillex and bubblegum pop and had been dreaming of the day you could enjoy them all blended together in one cute little package, then Babymetal might just be for you. If you’re a metal purist who can’t even stomach a bit of Black Veil Brides then stay well away from Babymetal, don’t even Youtube them out of curiosity. But for everyone else, if you want a bit of fun, give Babymetal a try. Wether you end up loving or  hating them, they’ll probably stick in your mind for a lot longer than most of the music you’ve heard recently.

Unearthed Lady Gaga, R Kelly Video Allegedly Condones Sexual Assault 4250002 News

A new video clip has surfaced online allegedly containing content from Lady Gaga and R Kelly's scrapped 'Do What U Want' music video. The second single to be released from Gaga's latest album, ARTPOP, 'Do What U Want' has an official video that that is shot very differently to the scenes seen in the new clip.

The song's lyrics express themes of sexual submissiveness, which has been alluded to in several live performances involving the pop star and the R&B singer, but never as explicitly as seen in the Terry Richardson-directed video, which has been leaked by TMZ.

The short excerpt posted on the Gaga Daily Facebook page begins with Gaga on a hospital trolly moaning as R Kelly's hand moves around under her sheet. "Sounds like that medicine's starting to kick in," he says. When then see Gaga coverting nude amongst newspaper gossip headlines related to her personal life and career in a scene soundtracked by 'Do What U Want.'

The video was set for release in December 2013 via BitTorrent but was cancelled due to unknown circumstances. However, it has been speculated by TMZ that the whole vid was pulled due to concerns of a backlash due to R Kelly's past trial for child pornography as well as allegations made by several models that Richardson harassed and sexually assaulted them - claims the photographer has denied.

A source speaking to Page Six decried Richardson's artistic efforts, saying "Gaga had a video directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, 'I'm going to do whatever I want with your body'? It was literally an ad for rape."

In January, Gaga posted an angry message on her website claiming that she had been betrayed by certain individuals: "Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result."

"I was not enough for some people. They wanted more," she added.

Ava Lord Is The Dame To Kill For in The 'Sin City 2' Trailer [Trailer + Pictures] 4241281 News

Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill for has a brand new trailer, featuring an extensive look at the predominantly black & white art-house, film-noir, super-violent, based-on the-comics-of-Frank-Miller, stylised thriller. It’s Sin City; let’s all kill this one dude.

Sin City 2Joseph Gordon Levitt has some revenge to take in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven and Lady Gaga are all newcomers, while Micky Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King and Powers Boothe are all returning to the franchise.

The trailer features nothing you wouldn’t expect; Joseph Gordon Levitt is a cavalier card player; Senator Rourke (Powers Boothe) is a supercilious monster whom everyone in the film wants dead, including Nancy (Alba) and Hartigan (Willis). At 2:25, there are more lines of scathing dialogue than in most movies put together. "Looks like trouble," Nancy says to Marv when confronted with a bunch of grunts. "Looks like Christmas."

One peculiar aspect of this new trailer comes right at the end when we see "Written by Frank Miller” pop up on screen. Miller and Rodriguez were supposedly sharing writing credits with William Monahan, so either The Departed writer is exactly that, or his suggests and contributions just didn’t make the cut.

It’s also weird because Miller’s reputation has shifted somewhat since the first Sin City arrived to mixed-to-positive reviews. The disaster that was The Spirit got people questioning his directing skills, while some aggressive, inflammatory and downright strange right-wing comments have left some fans feeling alienated. And any fans that weren’t left feeling ostracized probably started feeling that way when he started provoking and mocking fans of his work.

“Sin City” is very unique. It’s not just the visuals. It’s the story and how it’s told and Frank’s storytelling that works when you’re looking at it in a book or in a film. It works in any way, shape or form,” said Robert Rodriguez in an interview with MTV back in 2012.

“He’s just a great writer and visualist and storyteller with pictures in a way that’s different than what anyone else can think of. It’s so unique, and I think that’s why people keep asking for another “Sin City” in particular. In terms of just visuals and effects, yeah, it will evolve from the original, for sure.”

One more cheesy line of dialogue? Death is just like life in Sin City," said Bruce Willis’ character, Hartigan. "It always wins." Sin City: A Dame To Kill For hits theaters August 22nd.

Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For 4241077 Videos 12th June 2014

It's all about revenge in Sin City now as the wounded (both physically and mentally) set out on a trail of death and destruction in a bid to make sure justice is served in their town. Dwight McCarthy is on another rescue mission to save an abused wife as Ava Lord claims she is a prisoner at the hands of her wealthy husband Damien. Unfortunately, it seems her intentions are of the dishonest kind. Thought to be have been executed, Marv wakes up among several corpses with little memory of his alleged crimes, but a strong desire for vengeance. Nancy is heartbroken to the point of insanity following  police officer John Hartigan's suicide, and there's no stopping her when she decides to sentence the father of child-killer Roark Junior, Senator Roark, to death. Notorious gambler Johnny is a newbie in the town with his own scores to settle, but it isn't long before he realises he's messing with criminals much bigger than him.

The second instalment of the 'Sin City' film franchise 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' is due for release nearly ten years following the 2005 original. Author of the original graphic novel Frank Miller ('300', 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns', 'Daredevil: Born Again') has adapted the screenplay and co-directs the movie with Robert Rodriguez ('Machete', 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico', 'From Dusk Till Dawn'). 'Sin City 2' is set to hit UK screens on August 25th 2014.

You're Not "Way Too Annoying," Jennifer Lawrence! But These Celebrities Are 4206921 News

Jennifer Lawrence recently told Marie Claire magazine that she thinks she is “way too annoying” to be popular forever. “Nobody can stay beloved forever,” she told the glossy mag, adding, “I’m way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I’m really hyper, most likely because I’ve been drinking, and I can’t not photo-bomb somebody if it’s a good opportunity…But it’s something I always tell myself: ‘You need to calm the f**k down. You don’t want to constantly be a GIF.”

Most Annoying Celebrities J-Law, we promise you are not annoying, please carry on doing mad things!

Well firstly, we're a big fan of the GIFs and secondly, we’re 100% sure we will love Jennifer Lawrence forever, no matter how annoying she thinks she is. You see, Jen, the thing is, there are some genuinely annoying celebs out there, who you really don’t hold a candle to.  Just check out these guys who really get our blood boiling.

Most Annoying Celebrities Justin's bad ass routine, combined with his bad attitude, makes him the most annoying celebrity by a mile

Justin Bieber

Bieber, Beliebers, the Biebs, just the sound of the syllables that comprise his name and fan base gets us all riled up. Justin’s regular brush-ins with the law, his frankly awful attitude towards everyone and his supreme arrogance hardly even touch the surface of reasons why he is, without a doubt, the most annoying celebrity. Cue death threats from Beliebers…we’re ready for you (just another reason to add to the list of annoying things about the singer).

Most Annoying Celebrities Miley's annoying onstage antics is just one of the reasons she's so irritating

Miley Cyrus

Even when she was Hannah Montana, Miley wasn’t half an annoying as she is now that she’s trying to be…well, whatever it is that she’s trying to be. She's sort of become someone we love to hate, so it's not all bad.

MORE: So, where are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West getting married? What we know so far.

Most Annoying Celebrities These two are in a relationship, which makes them doubly annoying

 Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

These guys come as a joint annoying package. Kim was annoying enough before with that high-pitched drawl, mock-shock each time the paps that she called arrived and simply the size of that woman’s ass. Combined with microphone-usurping Kanye, who seems to genuinely believe he is the second coming of Christ, these two are an explosion or irritating elements.

Most Annoying Celebrities Lindsay spends more time in court than most people spend in bed

Lindsay Lohan

Her attempted comeback was a complete and utter failure, perhaps because she spent most of it spouting secrets of dubious believability. Lindsay’s done nothing of use for years now and clearly feels incredibly sorry for herself. The solution? Take down the strange facade she keeps trying to put up and just be a nice, normal person.

Most Annoying Celebrities Lady Gaga is beginning to realise it takes more than a strange outfit to keep fans engaged

Lady Gaga

Once the vanguard of controversiality, Lady Gaga just seems to try too hard these days. It turns out she can’t trick people into thinking that she is an artistic genius by donning a few odd outfits anymore and people have realised that her music is, well, it’s just OK.

Lady Gaga In Yet Another Extreme Photoshopping Incident 4194544 News

Remember when those untouched Versace images of Lady Gaga cropped up? The Lady’s highly anticipated Spring 2014 Versace campaign turned out to be a bigger hoax than Ray Santilli’s alien autopsy. Everything from her skin colour to the texture of her hair was altered in the images, but the most confusing thing was that she had only recently slammed the use of photoshopping in regards to the her December Glamour cover.

Lady Gaga photoshopping In many recent images Lady Gaga's body has been photoshopped beyond all recognition

At the time of the cover Gaga had said, “I felt my skin looked too perfect. I felt my hair looked too soft. I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning…I don’t even look like this,” in reference to her Gaga-esque hair and hair and makeup. She further added, “It is fair to writer about the change in your magazines. But what I want to see if the change on your covers…When the covers change, that’s when culture changes,” before encouraging people to “fight back against the forces that make them feel like they’re not beautiful.”

That’s all well and good, but followed by her heavily photoshopped Versace campaign (yes, we understand it was for a high fashion shoot), and then adding insult to injury yet another photoshopping saga has begun to emerge. Some untouched photos from a recent V Magazine shoot have leaked and the photoshopping on these images may be the most extreme we’ve seen so far.

With shaded adding to make her stomach look more concave and her skin darkened to look as though she has been lying on a beach in Saint Tropez for a month, she certainly cuts an imposing and slender figure. Most worrisome, however, are the ribs which have been photoshopped on to jut out of her side. In the untouched images Lady Gaga’s ribs are barely visible, but in the finished photos they are practically the focal point of the piece.

Lady Gaga photoshopping Lady Gaga is known for her revealing outfits, implying she is not at all ashamed of her body

Lady Gaga’s breasts also appear to have been slightly lifted and her thighs lengthened and slimmed. The obvious blemishes such as bruises and dimples (the ones that photoshop was actually invented for) have also been edited out, although it’s not them that we’re concerned with. So many conflicting statements from Lady Gaga, she encourages the world to fight photoshopping, yet all of her recent images seem to have been doctored.

Do you think that the editing was done with or without her knowledge?

From Bruno Mars To Lady Gaga: Ten Celebrities Who Have Changed Their Names 4163782 News

What’s in a name? Well for some celebrities things might have been very different if they hadn’t have changed theirs. Think Stefani Germanotta sounds like a star? What about Caryn Johnson? Things might have been very different for these 10 celebrities if they hadn’t found the perfect name to launch their careers.

Lady GagaStefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, my how you've changed

Lady Gaga

Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the aspiring singer was given the Gaga nickname by her then boyfriend music producer Rob Fusari, after the Queen song, ‘Radio Gaga’. Gaga later told Flybe magazine that she added the Lady “because Gaga is sort of crazy and Lady has such connotations. I went to a private school but now I was living in this trash glitter environment. So, for me, it was the perfect description of who I had become.”

Whoopi Goldberg

Caryn Johnson got her rather unusual moniker due to her, well, flatulence. Whoopi stated in a 2013 interview that she was given the name Whoopi after the whoopee cushion and that Goldberg was a “family name”.

Portia de RossiPortia De Rossi, formerly known as Amanda Lee Rogers

Portia De Rossi

The elegant sounding De Rossi was actually born the less exciting Amanda Lee Rogers. The Australian actress felt she needed a better sounding name to reinvent herself and thus chose Portia after a character from William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, and an Italian last name which she thought sounded more exotic.

Nicolas Cage

You probably know that Cage is the nephew of famed Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola, but early on in his career Nicolas didn't want anyone thinking he was getting special treatment thanks to his famous relative. The actor decided to change his surname to Cage which was partly inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero Luke Cage.

Bruno MarsThe out of this world Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars

Bruno was born with the much more down to earth name, Peter Gene Hernandez. Bruno was actually the singer’s childhood nickname, given to him by his father who thought his young son resembled legendary wrestler Bruno Sammartino. As for the ‘Mars’ part, Bruno said, “I felt like I didn't have [any] pizzazz, and a lot of girls say I’m out of this world, so I was like I guess I'm from Mars.”

Lana Del Rey

Would Lizzie Grant have made it as a star? Well she didn’t think so and thus Lizzie Grant became Lana Del Rey. The ‘Born to Die’ singer explained the name change by saying, “I knew that I wanted a name that sounded sort of exotic and reminded me of the seaside on the Floridian coast. ‘Lana Del Rey’ sounded beautiful.” In another interview she also stated her original name just never spoke to her and that she wanted a name which was “as beautiful as the music I was going to make.”

Vin Diesel

Action hero Vin Diesel started life with the much less heroic name, Mark Vincent. When choosing a name to launch his career he borrowed from his surname and then added Diesel after his childhood nickname which he earned thanks to his non stop energy.

Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj’s was born Onika Tanya Maraj. Her first choice of stage name was Nicki Maraj, with the Nicki coming from a childhood nickname, but the Minaj happened after a suggestion from former manager Big Fendi who felt she needed to shake up her surname.

Agyness Deyn

Aspiring model Laura Hollins thought she needed a more stand out name when launching her modelling career. The story goes that Laura settled on the name Agyness, after her grandmother, but consulted a numerologist on what was the best way to spell it. Deyn comes from the surname Dean which was already in her family, but the model adapted it so it had the numerological value of 21. Agyness and her family are big believers in numerology and her mother and sister are both said to have changed their surnames to Deyn.

Dita Von TeeseFrom Heather Sweet to Dita von Teese

Dita Von Teese

Who’d have thought that blonde haired California girl Heather Sweet would one day be famous as a raven haired burlesque star? Heather knew she need a new identity for her knew image so she chose the name Dita as a homage to silent film actress Dita Parlo. As for the surname, that came later when she was required one for her Playboy cover shoot. Dita chose Von Treese from a phonebook but a spelling error made her the Dita Von Teese we know today.
