Gael Garcia Bernal Handed Career Award At Locarno Film Festival
The Motorcycle Diaries star, whose career spans more than 20 years, told how he still feels inexperienced as he accepted the Excellence Award at the annual movie event on Wednesday (08Aug12).
Taking to the stage in the Piazza Grande to accept his trophy, the 33 year old shook the prize over his head and played air guitar with it.
The modest star then told the crowd, "I think I still have a lot of room to grow. Perhaps not in terms of height, but in terms of experience."
The same honour was given to veteran British actress Charlotte Rampling earlier in the festival, which kicked off on 1 August (12), while past recipients include Susan Sarandon, John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe.
