ZSA ZSA GABOR's husband PRINCE FREDERIC VON ANHALT is calling on controversial German anatomist GUNTHER VON HAGENS to immortalise the ailing actress' body after she dies.
The ageing star, 93, has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip at the couple's Beverly Hills home in July (10) and friends, fans and family members fear she is facing her final days.
But Gabor's legacy will live on, if von Anhalt gets his way - he wants her remains to be preserved by plastination, according to Germany's Bild newspaper.
And he wants von Hagens, the man behind the controversial Body Worlds exhibitions, to perform the preservation procedure.
The German businessman says, "My wife has always dreamed that her beauty would be immortal. I would like to show the plastinated body of Zsa Zsa Gabor in the context of a scene in one of her films."
Gabor's film credits includes appearances in movies such as 1952's Moulin Rouge and Orson Welles' Touch of Evil in 1958.

| Preserving a ninety plus year old body is not saving her beauty. There are photos for that. Let people remember her in her prime and give the poor woman peace now. Let her last moments on Earth be with grace. Bury her with dignity. But preserving her body. How dreadful! How disrespectful. Her husband must me demented. | ||

| How sad that a photographer took a picture through a window to her hospital room while she is obviousely so ill! She made her mark on this earth and should be fondly remembered. | ||

| IF ZSA ZSA has legal documentation that she wants her body preserved in such a fashion -SO BE IT. HOWEVER, ANYONE ELSE CONTEMPLATING SUCH A THING MUST BE DREAMING OF A MONEY MAKING SHOWCASE FOR THEMSELVES. Personally, I much prefer remembering stars for their talent, personality and inner-selves. It's called "In Memory Of". If Zsa Zsa will be preserved in such a fashion. does her husband choose the same for himself? Therefore we would remember him as her husband who loved her so dearly he wanted to be preserved by her side forever in a museum. | ||
