Furtado's Film Work Makes Her A Better Star
PROMISCUOUS singer NELLY FURTADO credits a series of failed movie projects for helping her to perfect her performance skills as a pop star. The Canadian singer has taken a handful of acting classes so she's ready for her big break - and she insists her video work is much better as a result. She says, "Acting's taught me a lot that I've used already in performance, videos, photo shoots, and even in the studio. I didn't learn anything about television until I came into the business. "I wasn't in the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB (like BRITNEY SPEARS and CHRISTINA AGUILERA) - no disrespect. When I came out, all my peers had been in the Mickey Mouse Club. I didn't know anything about camera cues or posture." Furtado has recently pulled out of Iraq War drama NOBODY'S HERO due to commitments with her pop career.
