Frost/nixon Play Gets Hollywood Makeover
The Peter Morgan production stars British actor Michael Sheen as a young David Frost interviewing the former US President - played onstage by Frank Langella - two year's after his 1974 resignation from office.
The show has attracted rave reviews and now Cinderella Man producer Ron Howard is hoping for similar success in Hollywood.
Sheen says, "The rumours are true - it will be a film.
"There was a huge frenzy over the film rights for it. We'd see all these huge Hollywood directors in the audience every night. Eventually the rights went to Ron Howard and I can't wait to see what happens."
The proposed movie joins a long list of Watergate films including 1976 classic ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN and Oliver Stone's NIXON.
